Great to see ur recipes. I am from Tamil Nadu too, so loved all the recipes you had here. The paya recipe was just like the one my mom makes!
A question I had - do u get paya here in the US just like we get in India? I live in Dallas and found it in one of the Indian stores here, but it was not the smoked/roasted variety like we see in India - it was raw. So was wondering if you knew how to cook this! Let me know if you do.
Appaa...after seeing this recipe..remember our land smell..my mom taste...she use to prepare frequently..after coming...i didn;t have even onece..
While chattign in fone,, myssiter who is also in U.S felt that i get here,, but i don't how to prepare nu...now i can inform her your blog.Thanks.
Answer to Priyas Question :
In US you will wont get the smoked / rosted one.
I see very light difference in taste when u use the raw one..I will say u shd try once with the raw one..trust me ..u will love it !

Thanks for the wonderful recipe.Instead of using raw ones, can we do ourselves that smoking/roasting process and use to follow the traditional method(recipe)? If you know how they do it in Chennai, please pass on to us.
